The latest update for Cardano’s Hydra, a leading Layer-2 scalability solution, is anticipated to be released this week. According to a shared update by Cardano developer Sebastian Nagel, the Cardano Hydra software version 0.12.0 will soon be published. This awaited upgrade is expected to be well-compatible with the Cardano Node v8.1.2 client and the newly developed Mithril protocol by Input Output Global (IOG).
Cardano Hydra v0.12.0 was initially released on the mainnet on July 30. Its primary aim is to revolutionize processes related to synchronizing nodes on the Cardano network, making them more developer-friendly. Alongside these improvements, the Hydra upgrade also brings about code optimizations to enhance performance and security on the Hydra chain. With these swift and secure capabilities, Hydra is poised to achieve new milestones.
The new version also introduces additional functionalities for Cardano Hydra, particularly regarding its Application Programming Interface (API). The Layer-2 scalability solution will begin operating new API endpoints, facilitating easier access for Web3.0 developers and researchers.
Detailed release information will be shared by contributors during the upcoming cryptocurrency conference Rare Evo 2023, scheduled in Denver, Colorado from August 24-26.
Meanwhile, the latest v0.12.0 upgrade could potentially have a positive impact on ADA’s price, similar to previous upgrades. After Cardano launched Aiken, a programming language and toolkit to simplify smart contract development on the Cardano blockchain, ADA’s price increased by 6%.
In the past 24 hours, ADA’s price has risen by 1.25% and is currently trading at $0.27. Speculators who anticipate Cardano’s price increase can utilize this advanced feature to accumulate coins, aiding the much-needed recovery chart after this week’s market downturn.
