According to a Dogecoin developer named “Bluezr,” who used Twitter to make the announcement, the next upgrade for Dogecoin will focus on improving the DOGE core system.
Bluezr shared that this work is currently being implemented and has received continuous contributions and feedback on Dogecoin Core version 1.14.7.
It is currently unclear what specific changes will be implemented in version 1.14.7. However, users are hopeful that this latest update will further improve existing features based on previous versions. In those versions, Dogecoin Core has made security enhancements, changes to the existing fee system, and introduced some new features.
In March, blockchain security company Halborn also revealed several vulnerabilities in Dogecoin Core 1.14.5 and older versions. Halborn confirmed in a report that these issues have been addressed in the latest update.
