On November 7th, South Korea’s leading telecommunications conglomerate, SK Telecom, officially announced a partnership with the Layer1 blockchain project Aptos and Atomrigs Lab. Their collaboration aims to develop their web3 wallet service, known as T Wallet.
SK Telecom commits to providing specific value to users by connecting with the promising dApp ecosystem within Aptos. Furthermore, the use of advanced MoveVM blockchain technology from Aptos marks a significant step in making Web3 services easily accessible to users.
Notably, Aptos has a strong community in South Korea, which could be one of the reasons SK Telecom chose Aptos as its partner.
In addition to Aptos, SK Telecom previously collaborated with CryptoQuant to launch T Wallet. T Wallet is a cryptocurrency wallet product that allows for crypto storage and on-chain analysis tools.
In August, SK Telecom partnered with Polygon Labs to develop their web3 ecosystem.
Following this news, the price of Aptos experienced volatility, surging to $7.7 before adjusting to $7.3 at the time of writing.
