Recently, the cryptocurrency community was surprised to discover that the Aptos network had unexpectedly gone offline for a significant period of time. Specifically, according to on-chain data on AptosScan, the last transaction was recorded over 5 hours ago (at 06:11 on October 19), at block 104621314.
Immediately after the incident was detected, Aptos confirmed the information and initiated efforts to resolve the issue. Currently, the problem has been rectified, and the network is operating normally.
“Transactions on the network were affected. We are working diligently to resolve this issue and will continue to update you once it is completed.”

Meanwhile, exchanges like Upbit and OKX also announced the temporary suspension of APT deposits and withdrawals.
Fortunately, the price of APT did not experience significant fluctuations. At the time of writing, APT was trading around $4.9. However, in the current subdued market conditions, the ecosystem with a TVL of $64 million is gradually losing the community’s interest.
It’s worth noting that this incident occurred on the one-year anniversary of the Aptos mainnet and during a massive airdrop for the community. Additionally, November 12 marks the first major unlock for the project’s treasury and team.
