Recently, Forbes magazine published its Forbes Under 30 North America 2024 list. Despite a decrease in the number of honorees compared to the previous year, Forbes still dedicated half of the Forbes Under 30 North America 2024 list to honor leaders in the cryptocurrency and financial field.
Specifically, topping the list is Ham Serunjogi, the co-founder of Chipper Cash. According to Forbes, Chipper Cash, founded in 2018, is a company that provides crypto transaction and payment services to over 5 million customers in seven countries, including South Africa, Nigeria, the UK, and the US. In November 2021, Chipper Cash successfully raised $300 million, valuing the company at $2.2 billion.
In the second position is Samuel F. Poirier, the CEO of Mercantile, a company that provides credit cards for small businesses. At the age of 17, Samuel introduced a Bitcoin debit card.
In addition to these prominent names, Forbes’ list also includes many notable figures in the industry, such as BlackRock’s digital asset expert Maxwell Stein, MoonPay’s co-founder Victor Faramond, Uniswap Labs’ founder Hayden Adams, Jump Crypto’s chairman Kanav Kariya, Ava Labs’ co-founder Kevin Sekniqi, and The Graph Foundation’s Director Eva Beylin, among others.
Over the past decade, Forbes has published numerous 30 Under 30 lists, honoring over 10,000 talented young entrepreneurs who have made significant contributions to their respective fields. These individuals are often trailblazers and innovators who have had a profound impact on their industries.
Alongside accomplished entrepreneurs, there are also those who have faced setbacks, with notable figures like Sam Bankman-Fried, former CEO of FTX, who recently made headlines. It’s worth noting that Forbes also included Sam Bankman-Fried and Caroline Ellison, CEO of Alameda Research, in its “Hall of Shame” list.
