I have read some comments from Pi Network pioneers, and 90% of them are very positive. I can see that you are very intelligent and understand my perspective very well. However, I have noticed that some pioneers have a narrow-minded approach. Let me correct them.
I read a pioneer saying that after Mainnet (OM), the price will increase significantly. This will encourage many pioneers to hold 20,000 Pi and invest in corporations, real estate, and more. This could potentially lead to conflict and social instability, making Pi Network a crime against humanity. He wants Dr. Nicolas to address this concern.
My response: After the launch of OM, the GCV price will stabilize and not increase significantly. This is because Pi will be a stable currency widely used. That’s why we propose setting the price at $314,159, which will remain relatively stable for over a hundred years.
I believe that most pioneers come from diverse backgrounds and may lack the ability to manage large corporations or invest in real estate. Some pioneers argue that GCV is impossible because too many pioneers could buy a city or even a country. In my opinion, this kind of thinking reflects a poverty mentality. While there are many wealthy people in the world, it’s rare to see anyone buying a city or a country. Additionally, even if someone has the financial ability to do so, it’s unlikely that a city or country would be available for purchase.
Moreover, even though it’s true that someone can buy shares in a company, there are regulations on the number of shares one can hold. For real estate, do you need to buy many when you only need one or two places to live? Do you need to invest heavily in real estate and incur property taxes and management fees if you don’t live there or rent it out? Of course, if you have the means and interest in rental businesses, you can buy a few. This could be helpful for the real estate industry if they are struggling to sell properties. This is an example of how Pi can contribute to the economy. Alternatively, you can donate your surplus Pi to charity so you can relax and let others take care of it.
Wealth is like a double-edged sword, with both advantages and disadvantages. It can be used for harm or protection. The main difference lies in the intent of the owner. So why do some people believe that wealth brings war and social instability? In my opinion, if we have generous hearts and intelligence, wealth can help stabilize and develop our society and even solve many problems.
What can Pi do for the economy and society? You can use Pi to invest in projects that benefit everyone and society, but not for profit. You can invest in education or make charitable donations. So, you can help the people and the government of your city and country. The surplus Pi that you don’t use can be locked for hundreds of years.
Some pioneers ask how to liquidate Pi and who will provide FIAT when we sell Pi when the GCV price is so high.
My response: That’s an interesting point you raised. If you hold Pi, you can buy anything with Pi, so why would you need to convert it to FIAT, a currency that often loses value? Some people may want to buy Pi with their FIAT due to FIAT inflation. After OM, there may be a high demand for Pi, and many pioneers may still want to sell. This could be because in the early stages of OM, the ecosystem may not meet all the needs of pioneers, so there may be a demand to sell Pi for FIAT. However, once more companies join and the ecosystem covers all industries, pioneers may lose interest in converting Pi to FIAT.
Who will buy our Pi? After OM with a stable GCV price, many companies, organizations, or even governments will need the most advanced public blockchain technology and WEB 3.0 of Pi Network. They will need to buy Pi from us to commit to using our blockchain. Since the price of Pi is stable, and we have a strong ecosystem, they will feel confident in participating because there is no risk.
As I mentioned earlier, they won’t see $314,159 GCV as expensive because it’s a currency, not an asset. If you hold assets or products, you will use them all or if you sell them, the selling price will drop significantly. That’s why you can say it’s expensive. But Pi is already a currency. When they spend $314,159 to buy a Pi, they can use one Pi to pay for collateral fees or products worth $314,159. This is called purchasing power at $314,159! You can say GCV $314,159 is powerful rather than expensive! If the price is $314, they would need to buy 100 Pi to pay for the same level of service or product. So, in reality, they would still need to pay $314,159 in FIAT to get a similar level of service or product.
In fact, it’s quite easy to understand. But I see that many pioneers may not comprehend it. I know that most pioneers are not extensively trained in economics and finance. But I hope that if you don’t understand, you can be humble and take the time to learn. Remember, knowledge is power! I hope those who still don’t understand can do further research and expand their knowledge to gain more power.
