Recently, YouTube unveiled several new AI features aimed at making it easier for users to generate video ideas and turn those ideas into reality on YouTube Shorts. Additionally, it introduced a voiceover feature called “Aloud,” enabling users to translate the audio in their videos into different languages.
Notably, by the end of this year, the platform will introduce “Dream Screen” – a feature that allows users to create images or videos generated by AI by inputting their ideas into the “prompt” section. Dream Screen will be available for YouTube Shorts, the platform’s category of videos designed to be shot on mobile devices and not exceed 60 seconds (similar to TikTok videos).
Furthermore, YouTube announced its plans to expand its offerings with even more advanced features in the future, starting from 2024. This includes allowing users to remix existing videos and transform them into entirely new content.
Despite the introduction of these new features, YouTube does not seem to have plans to enable users to create videos entirely using AI.
However, YouTube emphasizes that the future of creative activities on the platform looks extremely promising as it begins to integrate AI.
Previously, YouTube’s parent company, Google, also announced its intention to integrate YouTube with its AI assistant, Bard. This integration will allow users to gather data from YouTube and use it in conjunction with Google’s broader suite of services.
